Simple Methods to Shed Pounds Before Morning Meal

It can be boring to go through the motions in a weight-loss program. It’s vital to remain motivated by keeping things interesting. Let’s give your morning routine an extra boost by introducing five simple steps to help you lose weight. Watch the scales move your way when you add them to your morning routine.

Before starting your busy day, we spoke to Melissa Mitri MS, RD a nutritionist and the owner of Melissa Mitri Nutrition who shared five simple ways for you to lose weight.

research shows that water consumption can increase metabolism and help you lose weight. Mitri tells us that drinking a cup of water in the morning can aid in weight loss. “I advise my clients to start the day with one glass to establish a habit. This will lead to drinking even more throughout the rest of the day.”

A little mindfulness in the mornings can have a huge impact. Mitri says that mindfulness is the key to weight loss all day, whether you meditate or do yoga or journal about your goals or thoughts. Mitri says, “When your attitude is one of gratitude, and you are more connected to your body, it will show in your exercise and eating habits.” It will also be harder for you to eat emotionally.

Did you know that vitamin D helps you to lose weight by absorbing it? Scientists agree!

Mitri says, “If you can, try to get some sunlight first thing in the morning.” Many reports show a connection between UV exposure and weight reduction. You don’t need to spend a lot time. A five-minute stroll around your block, or even a cup tea on the porch can do the job.

Get your body moving next! You can establish healthier habits by incorporating movement in your morning routine.

Mitri says that exercise is an excellent mood booster and can lead to healthy eating habits. Exercise in the morning can lead to greater satiety for the remainder of the day, according to studies. It doesn’t take much time to get the endorphins going if you have a busy morning. A 10-minute walk can do it.

It is good to step on the scale as soon as you get up in the morning. You can track your weight each day this way and determine if any changes are needed.

Tracking your weight can help you stay accountable to your goals and keep you motivated. Weighing yourself when you wake up will remind you to keep your weight loss goals in mind so you can make the right choices for breakfast and the rest of your day.
